Creatures Sighted at Sea and GenCon Pickup

Mortals, there have been numerous reports of creature sightings in the Pacific Ocean! Reporters say they were last seen on board a freighter known as the Ever Living. Scientists are tracking the boat with satellite data to be safe. You can follow along the progress here. Once the Ever Living arrives in the States in late July, their arrival will be imminent. Creatures should start appearing at door step in August if everything goes according to plan. We'll keep you updated as fulfillment progresses.

Manufacturing, Surveys, and the Lair of Fun

Howdy Mortals,

It's been too long since we've chatted. Things have been going smoothly with production so there hasn't been a lot of news to update on—which is a good thing. We recently received the mass-produced copy of the game (the version you'll be receiving) so check it out in the video below.

Surveys Are Closing

Manufacturing should finish in a couple weeks so we'll be closing surveys on BackerKit next week on June 13. After that, the games will need to cross an ocean, get to our fulfillment center, and that's when they'll start shipping out to you. Woohoo! If all keeps going according to plan, you could expect your copy in early August :)

The Lair of Fun

Josh Emrich, the artist behind the game, has been down in his mad scientist lair cooking up more fun creations of Campy Creatures. Head over to his site to check out the collectible enamel pins, a new set of three posters, circle stickers, and an aptly-worded refrigerator magnet ;) 

 

Each pin will be a surprise so you never know which creature will emerge from the blind box! 

 

Unleash your inner monster with sticker packs that include some fun flavor text on each creature.

 

Some say this magnet has the power to change the course of food history.

In other new, the PnP has been updated with new Mortal artwork and a new rulebook! It is being distributed through BackerKit. Let us know if you have any questions or need help with anything.

The Mortals, The Demogorgon, & The Surveys

Hello there Mortals,

Thanks for tuning in to your bi-weekly update of this ghoulish feature: Campy Creatures. Things are moving right along with the project as we recently delivered all the files to Panda. Woohoo!

They’re checking to make sure things are good to go, then they'll send us a Pre-production copy :0

The Mortals

Most of you are probably wondering what some of those files look like. Well, we're happy to share the final set of mortals with you here Josh did an amazing job to keep the style similar, but make these feel separate. Red = Good. Blue = Bad. Purple = Could be either ;) Capture them to your heart's content.

The Demogorgon

We've also got the Demogorgon finalized along with it’s poster below! If you backed the game at The Complete Set of posters, this will be included in it. The original sketch went with some darker vibes so Josh decided to take the campy-ness up a notch and give him one nice big eye :) 

The Surveys

This brings us to surveys which you should be on the lookout for in the next day or so. BackerKit will be opening up and you'll receive an email where you can go in, give us your address, and select your poster rewards if you backed that level. If you missed out on something during the campaign, you can pick anything up as an add-on along with our first game Control. Let us know if you have any questions.

Looking Ahead

We cannot believe how good you Mortals have been to us. The last couple days of the campaign were a blur of fun. Now that the project is over, the work of making this a reality has begun. Currently, we’re finalizing all the art assets in the next week so we can deliver them to Panda (our manufacturer) as we're shooting to have these games in your hands by the end of August. 

BackerKit

We’ll be utilizing BackerKit to track surveys and give you options for add-ons if you missed out on anything during the campaign. There’s a processing time of about two weeks until we can send an email to open that up to you. The pre-order system is live, but backers should not use it as there’s a base shipping fee on those new orders that is already included in your pledge. Everything there will also be available to you as add-ons.

We're still working on getting final numbers from our manufacturer on the printed creeples as we hope to have them as an add-on. There's been so much great interest which will be helpful as we crunch the final numbers.

The Demogorgon

Alright, alright, this is what you're really here for. We were so excited to hit this goal and have this card as part of Campy Creatures. We needed to go for an homage to all the Demogorgons out there instead of just one in particular for legal reasons ;) Here's the initial sketch and we'll share the final soon:
